Although due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a late spring and a wet spring I managed to find 123 coins to date from February 2021 to May 22, 2021. Of these coins found, these are the numbers and percentages by coin denomination.
Clad US Quarters - 16 13 percent
Clad US Dimes - 18 15 percent
US Nickels - 20 16 percent
US Copper Cents - 26 21 percent
US Zinc Cents - 43 35 percent

So far I haven't found any silver coins this year. The only nickels found are Jeffersons. Nothing older than 1947. Hopefully with some new permissions I've received this will change. Plus with my new Equinox 800 I may be able to go deeper to find some of those silver and older coins. This kind of gives you the idea of the likelihood of what you can expect to dig up based on percentages. Keep in mind that I do use discrimination while hunting because I mainly hunt for coins and unless the site is old enough to have Indian Head Cents, I usually will not dig up zinc cents because of the severe corrosion that zinc coins commonly suffer.

Yes, I have kmocked on a few doors and researched a few older sites and have got a few go aheads to search a couple of them. I feel that by the end of summer and early fall, that I might add some silvers and older coins to my finds. So far a 1924 S wheat cent is my oldest coin found with a 1943 silver Washington quarter my only silver found. Those were found in 2018 with my Teknetics T2 Classic before the covid 19 pandemic. I believe with the Equinox 800 in my detector arsenal that the older deeper coins will turn up.
