Unbelievable day water temp 37° outside temperature 47° mostly sunny with a light southwest breeze. Low tide, of course! Hunted for two hours until my feet got cold!
Not a busy beach now, but there was an old hotel there once back in the day 4050 years ago, they would party hard on sailboats and motor boats just off the beach. The equinox 900 ran really smoothly, forgot to connect my underwater headphones so I was only able to go out waste deep, I’ll be back!!
This beauty will go into the trophy case at the bank if I can sneak it by the wife 🏦 🤩🏴‍☠️

Beautiful!! Great start for the New Years too!

That's just about as long as I can take those temps, Our water is 38F. I did 2 hours and 15 minutes Weds.. Feet were fine but my right hand started getting chilled. Most of the hunt .....water was mid to lower chest..

It’s crazy. You just never know what you’re gonna scoop up. It rang in the mid to higher 20s ID. I saw it in the scoop so I walked to the dry sand where my friend was and who is fairly new at detecting told her to look in the scoop at first I thought for sure it was just gonna be a simple wedding band then we pulled it out of the scoop.I said oh either a signet or there might be some stones. Turned it around and bingo. My heart skipped a beat I I looked at my friend, and I wished I’d taken a picture of my friend‘s face. It was awesome.

Need to order my dry suit gloves now!
I was pretty sick for the last five weeks or so I needed to catch up on other things, but I trust the old waiters are still working fine and I will have to break out the sock warmers and should be good to go!

I absolutely LOVE the color of that ring. For some reason, I've always preferred matte and satin finishes, rather than glossy. The gold color on that ring looks regal, old, and for some reason, to my eyes, it looks like the kind of find you'd make discovering treasures in an Egyptian pyramid. It just has that ancient, royal/regal look, definitely one of a kind. Man, I wouldn't melt that one, it's much too gorgeous to scrap.

Stones tested positive for Rudy's and emerald!!!
Acid test failed at 22K but passed at 20k
Which leads me to believe this ring was made prior to 1906 when they passed a new law….
