I got this 2 years ago . My parent's neighbor was having a garage sale . He worked at the local Sylvania factory and he was retired . I bought a shoe box with a bunch of light bulbs in in , I asked him about the gold one , he said it was prototype lined in 22kt gold , he said the company decided not produce them because they were too expensive to make & they would have to charge a ridiculous price . Only 3 were made .
it's about 5 inches in diameter .

That’s really cool.

Any mention of the purpose or benefits of such light bulbs?
