25 diamonds - 14k ring found 10/30/2010

It's been a while since I've done any serious detecting, with a kidney stone bout, a stretch of rain, and a heavy project load at work. But, today I went out to one of my favorite grassy spots and dug this out from 1/2" down in the grass. A pretty recent drop, and I'm happy to have found it - in the first 10 minutes in the field no less! This particular park has given up 3 gold, and 2 silver rings so far. I'm thankful for that! It makes ring #11 in my growing pile. =)

No telling if the diamonds are real, they're so small they wouldn't be worth much more than CZs any how. The ring weighs 7.0 grams on the old triple-beam balance, marked 585FB. Found with my Spectra V3, Hi-Pro RX 5 (going for shallow drops here, lots of trash!)
