Medicine cabinets make for a good depository. They even come with a coin slot in the back :::hint hint:::
"the coin slot" being were they tossed the used razors into the void behind the wall ;)

Re: Amazing house hunt!

Great finds..... who knows what else is waiting for discovery there.

Re: Amazing house hunt!

Jim,check both sides of the fire place, look for loose stones that pull out,on all three sides and the bottom of the fireplace.Same thing on the out side of the fire place. Some people went over board to cover loose brick, rock,or whatever the fire place is made out of.Even put a thin coat of mortar to hide gaps. Best of Luck ;D

Re: Amazing house hunt!

I had a watch just like that Elgin that my grandfather received as a confirmation gift. I had a jeweler give it the once over before giving it to my niece. I think he told me it was worth about $275. I think they are beautiful watches, but it was just sitting around the house and I figured I'd pass it along to her now rather than have it end up in my will.

I hope you get to hunt that house completely. You'll probably come up with some more good finds. Best of luck to you.

Re: Amazing house hunt!

indoor hunting is always fun, i was poking around my wife's grandmother's house, she was known to hide things, and found nearly $40,000 in small bills 10's 20's and 5's and a few 1's
