What can i put on the coin to maintain it .

NICE ! 1723 William Woods Irish Hibernia halfpence :headbang: Great condition , try a light coat of bees wax

dawg 8)

That one is in super condition! Like Dawg said, beeswax works. I use those wax rings they sell in hardware stores for sealing toilets. The wax melts a a low temperature and can be easliy applied with your fingers.

Love those large cents G..Good job.

Thanks , i will be hard pressed to find one in better shape .

Excellent recovery of a very nice Woods Hibernia 1723 Halfpenny. It appears to be a Martin 4-Gd variety since it appears it has 12 strings(not sure hard to count on the photo) and has a dot after HIBERNIA and date. I will send you a PM on who to contact concerning the copper, since a survey of ground found Woods Hibernia coppers is on going and the contact person might tell you more about the copper since the photos are rather good and the condition is great for a ground found. He will want to know the State and County found in for his survey.
I cropped your photos and combined the two sides for better viewing!

Thanks
Don
