297 coin weekend + gold earing

Saturdays finds
I worked hard for this, 140 coins!!!! I started at 7am and detected 3 different parks (just the wood-chips and sand areas, I don't have a spade to dig in the grass yet) and here is what I found with my Ace 250:

All are modern coins
10 quarters
24 dimes
7 nickels
96 pennies
2 tokens (Chucky Cheese & a local bowling alley)

1 Canadian nickel
1 junk child's ring
1 junk necklace and pendant
1 religious pendant "St. Charbel" stamped Italy
& uncountable amounts of trash & foil...

Todays grand total is $6.21. I would of kept going but my batteries died on me after 4 1/2 hrs into the hunt. I have new ones now, and tomorrow I'm going to try to get even more coins!!!

Sundays finds
I'm beat - my neck, back and legs are killing me, but I'm so happy with the amount I have found. I'm over the 150 coin per day mark (another goal of mine)!!! I finally joined the car club, I really wanted to find a car, but now I have 2!!! It took me a little over 7 hours and 4 tot lots and 1 grade school, but here is my finds:

All are modern coins
17 quarters
33 dimes
17 nickels
92 pennies
1 gold earing

2 cars
1/2oz lead fishing weight
1 gigantic nut
& more trash than you would believe!!!

todays grand total is 159 coins found in 7 hours worth $9.32.

My weekend combined totals are 297 coins found, 11 1/2 spent metal detecting worth $15.53.

Did your tokens read like pennies? I collect tokens, and my detector says tokens are pennies..your ratio of pennies vs. tokens is similar to mine..a token for every dollar's worth of pennies on average.

Good luck and don't forget a hot bath is great after a long hunt :thumbsup:

Sounds like you know the Detector, If you found that much you will be finding the gold rings in no time. I went out for the first time this year and found a 1900 indian and a 2 nicoles some pennies a dime and lots of pull tabs no rings but a good start. Hope you find a lot more, go to walmark and pick up a gardin knife makes a good digger for grass. It has a orange and black handle for around $6.99 Good luck.
