My brother struck gold again. Same yard, about 10 feet away from the last one. What was cool about this one is the home owner was home and showed my brother some of the history of the home. It used to be a farm and also the owner sold and traded horses out of a big barn. The original house is still there but the barn was torn down long ago.The coin was about 5 inches away and our beep and dig machine was on foil.
The new coin is the 1909. I took a picture of both because they look so good together. Thanks for looking, Dan

Did you show the home owner the coin? What if the home owner says hey, my property! I just dug a friends house today and every time I dug up junk he kept saying... you can keep that. Glad I didn't find gold. Didn't want to complicate things.
The home owner saw it and he told my brother to keep it. He has to go down as one of the best home owners to give permission. Dan

Two in one yard? I'd do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!God Bless Chris <param name="movie" value=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="360">

Why :icon_scratch: (are all US land owners money grabbers) I have shown every gold coin I have found (to many different owners) & they were 5 times the values of those ones, I have kept every one. Honesty will always pay in the end. Those that hide from landowners, should take up a new hobby & blacken some other game.
Congrats, & tell him to keep at it

AWESOME! Congrats. :blob7: :headbang: :hello2: :laughing9:

Amazing finds!!!! What a terrific guy the homeowner must be....hats off to him :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

They are beauties.

That sure is a beauty. I love the indian head type. I also know the feeling of finding one of these beauties. I found a 1927 on the beach about 5 years ago. I thought I was on stilts I was so High from excitement. Enjoy and again a fabulous find.

Yes I get what you mean.

(I'm making a general point here about some detectorist, & no-one on here):
I have heard from many detectorist (normally dishonest), saying things like 'don't show that farmer your good stuff, he will keep it all'. In my experience, including this scenario, I found the farmer was completely dis-interested in keeping any of it, let alone the 'good stuff'. Now I don't know if that's because he trusted me & treated me different than the others, or if the guys who tell me want to justify their dis-honesty. Either way I always win
'Play Forward'

Been detecting over 30 years.... only ever found one gold coin..... TWO IN ONE YARD?????? "PRICELESS". WTG!

Good to see lightening DOES strike twice in the same area!

I don't understand why this hasn't made banner yet. I'm certainly nominating it.

Congratulations to your brother!
