I went over to my brother's yesterday to see if I could find his wife's gold ring. She went out to work in the yard and do some gardening and when she got done she realized it was gone. First used detector to search the yard. No luck except junk and a 1956 wheat penny. Then checked a plant/Shrub garden with my pinpointer. Couldn't get my detector in it with all the plants. Just found some rusty nails. Then she had me check in a couple of giant staghorn ferns she was cutting back dead fronds. Right when i was about to give up the pinpointer finally goes off. It was sitting down in one of the pockets. She was so happy. It was her dad's wedding ring who passed away several years ago. She wears on her thumb. This is second time it's been lost and found. First gold I've got in a while. Exciting even if it wasn't a keeper.
