Hey everyone,

Back again with another post. Not a monster one this time. Got a chance last weekend to go back to the first site I found a few weeks ago. Pulled a few more keepers out of that place. Got a 51 washington and a 52 rosie. Once again not the kind of silver I am looking for. But I can't complain because none of my partners are getting any silver.

That site needs to die out before I can hit it again. Found a pocket spill of eagle buttons at the site. Are they ww1 or ww2. They all were in the same hole basically. Got a cool last frontier hotel type fob from the site to. It's from Las vegas Nevada. I'm sure it's not very old.

That was Saturdays Haul. However a few weeks back I was out with a MD buddy and on our way out of a different site I spotted what looked like a rock lined wall in the woods. I've been back here numerous times and didn't spot it then. My buddy has a jeep though and it sits up high. I spotted it a few weeks ago and made a mental note of the place.

Well sunday me and my brother went to investigate it. As soon as we walked onto the site hits started coming up. It was a very small site. May have even been hunted before. It's right off the rd. The vines on the ground made it very hard to swing right now. I broke another extension rod for the dfx. I go through these rods like they are nothing.

The 1400 coil and all the woods hunting I do really beats up on them. Luckily I had some electrical tape and continued to hunt. Picked up a few keepers. A 46 rosie and a 27 buff. Got a nice fob though for the keystone lumber co. My brother pulled out some relics also. But no coins to speak of for him. Pulled the usual wheats 9 of them. Also got a no date clipped indianhead penny. Looks like someone took the right side of the coin off.

Got a weird little metal bottle with a cob web and a spider in it. It has a glass cork stopper. Any ideas what it may have been. Also got 3 nail type copper spike looking things right near the foundation. Looks like they would have held logs together. Site doesn't show on the map of 1876. I'm gonna guess it's after that.

Most of the older sites I find have very little if any remnants. The newer one's have stone foundations for the most part. The cabin sites are what I am after. But they are much harder to pinpoint. But they are out there and I will find them over time.

Thanks again for the support and looking at my post everyone.

HH Jer

Great, varied group of finds. I think the flask is a small, inside-the-coat whiskey flask.
And the small numbered discs could be dog tags. I am really interested in the buttons.
I wore a greatcoat, cir. 1960's. And where I once worked we had several old military coats/uniforms
donated to us. But, never never saw buttons holed like that. Almost looks like they were not
made that way, but after the shank in the back fell apart, then the fronts were holed to conutinue
in use. Great bunch of finds. Keep pounding.....the older silver is there....and you are doing it
right, digging all sounds......you'll find them.

Man you did a lot of diggin my friend. What a great group of finds :icon_thumleft:

That's a nice hunt, congrats!!
