Finally found my 2nd silver coin and i was shocked as to what it is. 1945 Walking half. I didnt think i would ever find a 50 cent piece let alone my 2nd silver. I decided to start hunting the old school/ ball field in the small town i grew up near. Not a real big town, maybe a population around 300 but it had this high school from about 1916 up until about 1975. Then it was no longer used as a school but has since been remodeled and turned into the local community building used for dances and dinners and such. The ballfield has always been used and still is for the local kids and summer corec softball. Theres lots of targets, lots of clad and pull tabs. Seems not many people hunt around here which is good but also i find that i have a lot of shallow targets to dig. Oh well, im happy just digging lots of clad and realize i will find the deeper older coins once i get some more shallow stuff out of the way. It was about 5 inches down laying flat and boy did it look pretty sitting in the bottom of that hole. cant wait to get back and find some more. Starting to really like the way this explorer sounds on coins. Its a distinct sound that rarely fools me, but every once in awhile i will dig an old style screw top or piece of can slaw. Im gonna also start digging some more iffy signals. Thanks for looking, Sam
