Finally got out this last weekend, went to a spot thats been productive on previous hunts. Got out early (5:30) to avoid some heat. Half hour in nothing! Around 6:00 noticed renogeoff pulling up with some great guys, they decided to hunt a vacant house just down the way. Another half hour hunting my lot and only 3 wheats decided to walk behind the house renogeoff was hunting to a area they have been moving dirt for a freeway underpass where homes used to be, right away found a Silver ring and a Merc. Awhile later getting hot and noticed renogeoff was gone decided to track them down to a spot they talked about earlier, after finding them and renogeoff showing his great finds had a 2nd wind of energy to go back to my last area and face the 103+ heat. Glad I did, started hitting some large piles of moved dirt and started getting hits. Found some great stuff, couldnt take pics didn't want to bring unwanted attention from the vagrants around me. But cant identify something maybe u all can help, cap of some sort which looks like a ladies face on top and nun written on side? Anyways half hour later, 106 degrees with no shade in sight and a bag full of finds decided to call it a day.

awesome finds ray!, good on ya for tolerating the heat!

Nice collection of Goodies Ray , congrats ..cheers Mick

Nice "Mint" token. The hotel tower was added in 1968. Also the boat looks like a Monopoly piece from back in the day. Kudos for putting up with the heat and vagrants. One of them walked by Russ and said: "have a nice day officer". LOL! Not sure if that is good or bad if they think we're cops! the mint.webp

I know what u mean about good or bad! Theres enough of them out there to cause real trouble. Actually the ship is large, about 7" long, 2" wide. should of placed somethimg next to it for scale

I believe your unknown item is the end of a Buss Fuse from an electrical panel.

The cap with the face on it says AVON on the side - it's a cap to a cosmetic jar of some kind - Good Stuff Ray Ray (as always !)

Wow, you did very well

Great finds! Thanks for sharing...

Great bunch of finds!
Whew! Even the rocks look baked! Careful out in that heat!

Nice Finds !!! I've been to vegas 5 times as a tourist. Every time I'm there I wonder how someone can live there with that heat. That heat slaps you up along side your head and then body slams you just for kicks. Last fall I was there and at night it "cooled off" down into the nineties. We just don't have that kind of weather here in PA, it'd definitely limit my detector time if we did.

Its definitely something you have to adjust to hunt in, but fall and winter we here have a much longer and easier time ro hunt in than you back East hunters. Lol cant even imagine not hunting for months because of snow. Gets pretty cold but still can squeeze in some digs. Thanks for looking.

The ship is a Tootsietoy destroyer that the company made in 1940 to 1942. Good condition for being in the ground that long.

Good Job RayRay.
You doin better than me.
Davers
