2Sixes Roman Site...

Time to return to the old haunts.
This farm has 5 Roman Sites on it & this year they did a deep plough. They are leaving over Winter & have just done a first pass on grading it down. It's now workable with a detector.
I wanted to start on one of the smaller (yield) Sites to see how much had turned up & also because it only took us 2.5hrs to grid it all.
My mate had 17 & I had 21 Roman Coins plus a Roman Brooch (missing stone).
Also found the biggest Roman brick I've seen along with a huge bit of a Roman Mortarium.

What an opportunity to be able to detect on an area where 5 roman sites existed. I think I'd be as giddy as a school boy detecting there... Look fwd to seeing what else the plows have turned up. Nice to see your posts. Please say hi to Cru' dad and Land Mag for me!

With help from Cru'dad we now have an ID on the large Ses.:
