3 buttons and one is my oldest military

Crazy find today. Modern change but then there were a few relics and these were all buttons.

One is a cuff button and another is a lead disk that has a iron shank passed though it.

The third button is pewter and was aptly identified by a Treasurenet contributor as a War of 1812 general service button; this is my oldest military button.
Follow-up on this post is necessary due to recent information on the "U S" piece. Turns out it is NOT a button, so this post is more aptly titled "2 buttons and a US horse harness rosette."

Thx Diggin Dude! My correction to this post is that what I initially described as a War of 1812 general service button turns out to be a pre-Civil War bridle rosette, a rare find from what others have said.

Here's some detail on that rosette that may apply "(I have omitted the name) served in the War of 1812 as a private in Capt. Henry Thompson's First Baltimore Horse Artillery (aka Capt. Thompson's Co of Cavalry. MD Militia) that saw action in 1814 as a cavalry messenger/observation unit at the Battles of Bladensburg and Baltimore in addition to being the personal guard of Maj. Gen. Samuel Smith, commander of the 3rd Division."

Thanks Ken. Going out on a limb with that connection, but perhaps not too far-fetched. Capt. Henry Thompson lived at Clifton Mansion which is still standing in what is now Clifton Park. Went there two months ago to hunt with a friend and dug a Barber dime, my last Barber anything.
