It was back to the wagon trails today, I hunt up one side about a 1/4 mile, then turn around and hunt the other on the way back to the car, drive up a bit and do it again. Gets kinda boring after a while :tongue3: I thought the bridge was pretty cool having a date and all. This is actually the 2nd 1919 dog tag I found :headbang: so it goes on the keyring in order with the rest ive found. Also scored 2 Indians 1898 and A 1902, and a V nic 1899.
enjoy,
Pro-

Yes, I think that's the one I remember, vaguely. Did anything turn up there? I found zilch. If you found large cents, I'm going to start thinking it's my detector. Thanks for the pics. Good memories!

What is the name of your book? I would love to acquire a copy just for reading purposes. I often wondered how those people survived up there on that frozen hilltop in the winter. It could not have been pleasant, with the brutal climate and the rampant pneumonia and tuberculosis they surely endured.

I didnt find anything at this site, of all the sites up there? only a few really produced. the book is called Town of catherine history, you may have to call the montour library to get a copy. thier aprox $30.

at least you found some cool stuff ive been doing this for a week and ive only found 2 pennies and a nickel- not old!! oh yea and tons of foil!

In my first month of detecting in Ithaca, I found NO silver. Two years later, I had 130 silver coins, including 30+ Barbers and three Seateds. I found them in the same places I was looking during my first week- just had a crappy machine and didn't know how to use it!

very nice finds. 3 miles was worth it.

NICE FINDS!! Especially that dog tag! SO COOL!

Love those site pix!
I hunt the tote roads and old trails also, score some nice old coins and Rosettes that way ;D
Great finds!
