I have had absolutely no luck at finding anything older 1960 except for 3 wheats and an indian head till now. today I went to a b-day party at my bro - in - laws and his wife said I could bring my friend Garrett ( Ace 250 ). so at my first chance i started digging in the front yard between the sidewalk and the street. thats where i found the 3 wheats and the what is it. i suppose i just haven't been looking in places that are old enough because these popped right out. i will be going back to look for that silver which is probably hiding there too!! The gold bracelet I found not with my detector, but with my eyes ... does that count ??

Happy Detecting to you all !!

Your brother's-in-law wife seems like a nice lady. Your what's-it looks like the top to a shaker of some sort. Does the ornate top part come off the inner piece? Looks like the whole thing screwed onto some bottom piece at one time. Dunno!!

Hey nice finds with your ACE 250 and all finds count when detecting. A good thumb of rule is always look at the ground when detecting. I'm always picking up buttons, that don't show up on the detector and sometimes cash, that's always a good find. LOL Can't help you on your what is it.

HH, Ringfinder

P.S. I also use a ACE 250
