Anyone experience having to tighten the monitor where it joins onto the hand grip for the ctx 3030? Mines loose enough that it can moderately wiggle in all 4 directions and it concerns me with putting the machine in water now. Still under warranty and not sure if it merits sending it out if it's easy to tighten. All the allen bolts seem secure. I didn't rip on them as but they seem taught.

My CTX is 2-1/2 years old. I sense some small amount of movement but not a wiggle. I know sending a detector back is a pain in the butt. However, Minelab was pretty quick in turning my CTX around when I had a problem. I would give them a call and just see what they have to say about it. Good luck.

I'd give Minelab a call and ask the repair department. They're easy to talk to and you could ask if it's a simple matter of tightening it up DIY style or whether or not you should send it in.
Best of luck with that jeepGold!

Minelab repair is great. I think the guy's name was Barry, but the phone number is (407) 699-8724 in Florida - repairs are done there.

thanks guys.

The screws isn't the issue, its internal in the hand grip. Send it to Kellyco, it is a simple fix but needs to be done by tech as you don't have the part to fix it.

I figured as much.. Thanks. I'll give them a call. The CTX has become like my cell phone. I feel naked if I leave the house w/o it.
