$3369 Yesterday...

That's what I got for my "found" scrap gold & silver coins! Happy camper here. Decided since prices were so high, I'd get in the safe & do a little cleaning. Got almost 26 times face for my silver coinage. That's $4478 in the last 18 months.

Still got all my scrap sterling & "good" coins. All my clad I return to circulation as soon as it's cleaned.

Gotta love this hobby! :headbang:

Did that years back when gold had spiked. Got 10x face value of silver. Wished I had hung on to it now. $:-\$

I know exactly what you mean. Have regretted it ever since. I don't sell any thing any more. Just to hard to come by. Rick :coffee2:

Barguy that's great. I do mine in more frequent smaller batches. Did they 1099 you for that amount?

No 1099...B-U-T...I was told that as part of Obama's new bill, they WILL be required to issue 1099s on anything over $600 starting next year...Scrap, coin or whatever!

Easy fix, just find 4 to 6 different locations to cash your metals in, dont exceed 550 at any given shop you do business with. :laughing7:
