I might have to list some! I've got hundreds. I'll be rich!!!!!! Pretty crazy.

that is crazy, as said before, people buy anything on ebay :laughing7:

if anyone could double their money, why not?

Eisenhower dollars that have an edge looking silver-like and not sopper-like are worth more money... these coins the person was selling on ebay were 99.9999999% guaranteed to be change from the bank :laughing7:

they just look cool, which could possibly give them a premium, but to double your money... That's great!

I've sold some IKES long ago. I still have some left over. You have to look at more auctions than that to justify the prices. This auction only had one bidder. It would be different if you had multiple bidders bidding it up to $70. From my experiences with Ebay. It can be hit or miss. Some auctions sell for under market value and some over market value. LIsting them at a higher initial starting price, You don't know if it will sell or not. Sometimes a buyer will be new to coins and think that IKES were silver or don't have a realistic idea of their market value so they overbid. I feel guilty selling things for way too high of pricing.

Feebay is also very unseller friendly. Buyer can literally take advantage of sellers by simply not paying and want to not buy the item even after the auction ended with them being the winning bidder. As a seller, you cannot leave negative feedback for buyers so you have no recourse other than praying that the buyer will pay for the overbidded item and not leave you negative feedback. I've seen cases where a seller did everything they can to make a buyer happy but the buyer was jerk, demanded a return. Even after a return was done, the buyer still gave the seller a negative feedback and Feebay refused to do anything about it. If you go to PCGS forum, you will read many of these horror stories. Feebay just sucks period but there's no other competition out there with many buyers. I usually stay out of listing any item way above acceptable market price. I just don't want to deal with having negative feedbacks. Less headaches the better.

You can list the IKES for whatever price you want but if it doesn't sell at a high price, you will be charged an initial listing fee to FEEBAY!! :'(

I feel bad that people bid on crap that isn't worth anything to experienced collectors. Due to the huge toned coin craze, people made all these artificial toned coins and people were paying premiums for them on Feebay. Years ago, I just heated a couple halves on the stove top and sold a couple to people. They paid $1.50 to $2.00 each plus they paid shipping. They were rainbow toned alright and sure they had nice color from purple to blue. I felt really bad about it since they were ATed coins and just in my mind a cheap and low way to make money off of people's naiveness. I stopped after I sold a couple coins. Although it was completely legal to do it, my morals got the best of me.
