Not sure I understand the purpose of the split quad-screen in the YouTube video, but the professional divers might. In any event, the article is interesting and the concept of showing people a virtual reality dive of a shipwreck certainly has it's possibilities for the general public to see what goes on in the briny deep. The ship is the "Melckmeyt", or "Milkmaid", which was lost in 1659 while on a secret trading mission to Iceland:

Did all merchant ships have cannon in the mid 17th century? Or maybe, if they got caught by Denmark they were hoping to play the "we took a wrong turn at Norway" card.
