not a fancy blade but still very cool

DSC09462.webpDSC09463.webpDSC09464.webpfrom my Hopewell site in Hamilton County. This sucker is sharp!!! Slices through meat better than my sharpest Buck knife...the rind makes it easy to apply pressure kinda like a blood grip on a skinning knife.

I call those flake knifes. I find allot of them around here but most are broken by the plow or disc.

I love these type of Tools. Most people don't appreciate them and usually just toss them in a box but I have all of mine out on display. These were part of the everyday Tool Kit and used to butcher game.

Very nice piece. I can see why you like it so much.

I do like the odder pieces too...

Very nice knife! Excellent find!

does anyone know how long it took us to start using serrated metal blades?? wonder how old that flint blade is??

I love these types of tools as well. I just acquired up an incredible 5 1/2 inch blade / multi tool.

Nice knife. I heard on this show one day that the old flint knives were sharper than some of the modern scalpels.
