Just returned from a cruise around the islands. People on the boat looked at me like I was nuts hauling all the gear around..
First beach: San Juan. Overhunted. Met Simon Lake on the beach. Author of " The endless search for the HMS Hussar " Found $3.70 in clad.
Second beach: Tortola, one ring, not valuable. Now I understand how much work it takes to locate targets wedged into rock and corral.
Third beach: Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic: lots of people and targets, wish I had more time here, nice sand.
Beach 4: Labadee, Haiti. OK now I'm in heaven. while the rest of the world is freezing it's 80 degrees here and I'm hunting a clothing optional beach.
There were many French, Italian, and other European vacationers on the beaches but all the coin found was USA . Did not find the countless rings I imagined were just waiting to be scooped up, but had a great time and would go back in a heartbeat !
