The one cap is lead and is threaded inside. The other items are brass I believe. The brass cap is threaded too. I'm going to go out on a limb and say the multi-tool thing is an automatic marshmallow roasting Fork as soon as it is done spring action flings the marshmallow into your mouth. LOL never saw anything like it actually

The round brass piece with the nubs sticking out looks like part of a Little Orphan Annie decoder wheel.

Yeah none of that looks civil war era. Keep at it though, better luck next time.

The slotted brass cap is from a renewable fuse. Once blown, you unscrew it and replace the fuse link.
