I had a little bit of time yesterday evening and stopped by a new spot I've been wanting to ask permission to hunt. It's another old school spot and I was told some old timers have hit it over the years and I could give it a go. So I made my way to the back of the property swinging as I went. I dug a couple pieces of trash and my third signal sounded like silver. I was happy to see a Barber dime in the plug and even more to see 1899. So it was a good start to this new spot. As the sun was going down I continued to dig a steady flow of wheaties and then a Rosie. I went for another wheat signal but was surprised to see a worn Barber in the hole. As I worked my way back to the car to leave, I got a silver signal that turned out to be the ugliest silver dime I've ever dug. I can barely make out the torch on the back to tell it's a Rosie. So glad it wasn't a Barber that got roasted. HH David

Yep, that is for sure an ugly silver! Hunted out just means " I dare you..." to me!

Don't ya just love to hunt a site that's been hit and you still score a fist full of keepers. Love those Barbers, you dug twice my collection.

Nice job on the silvers. That one toasted Rosie looks like a coin that was in a fire.

You never know what you're gonna get when you hear it's been hunted. I'm with you about making it a challenge to come away with a keeper or two.

Yeah I love when they leave some keepers behind for me. Especially Barbers!

Thanks and yeah that's the worst silver dime I've dug. It's kinda cool since it's just a Rosie
