My third hunt of the year, ground just thawed out enough.

Not my best hunt, January 8th gave me a nice bell.

Would the "44" button be military ?

Last pic is the stuff I left behind, not wanting to haul it up the mountain.

Good to be going again. Next week looking real good temp. wise.

Hi Rick, good to see you are getting out again, looks like you had a good hunt. :headbang: I don't know if that #44 button is military, just looks a little too rough. What are the other round objects, are they coins?

It looks like the 44 was carved on there? Great finds. :icon_thumright:

ZDD the other rounds are buttons too, plain flats.

Jmcraz8 no the 44 is not carved in it is raised.

Interesting button. :icon_thumleft: Am I seeing stars on the edge? Glad it's thawed enough for you to hunt.

interesting button Rick! hope it is something important!

Would be interesting to find out, my first assumption would be military as well. Glad to see the ground finally thawing!

Seems like the 4s are different styles which would be odd for a military button. Any sign of a shank on the back?

Yes there "was" a shank on the back.

From the land of the Bluenose.....good scoff and glad that you are finally able to get out. Winter even though short by standards seems way too long me bouy! :headbang:
