45 minute walk in my own 5 acres of woods. This leads me to believe there is potential coins here. A lot of rock walls.

Just curious. When it comes to stone walls where do you actually detect?
That depends on the stone walls. If stone foundation of a house, inside and around the walls of foundation. If a stone fence, sort out if a structure was close and work it. Sometimes a cache was hidden in rock walls too. If you have some stone wall or foundations, post some pictures. Stone walls mean habitation and habitation means relics. Your search area depends on what was there. Some walls were simply live stock enclosures. Confused? You have to sort out what was there.

I do a grid search. All along the wall, then back the way I came about a foot out. So on and so forth.
