Very impressive point! I'm with Dorkfish on thinking it looks more like Zaleski flint, I am fortunate enough to have a decent collection of Zaleski artifacts and your material looks exactly like the stuff. Congrats on a gorgeous point!

thats why ive started hunting!!!!!!! really nice!

Superb! And I agree, that is a great insitu shot. I would be beside myself if I saw that laying there.

DANG!!!WOW!!!

Super find !! That one will be hard for you to top this year. Those are the ones that keep us looking for the next one.

Congrats on a fine piece.

Twig.

thx for all the nice comments everyone.Dorkfiish you could be right about it laying in the creek and maybe it lost some of that super shininess of zaleski flint due to creek stain or patination.Tn Mts i will get some more pics up this evening with a red background

Cool am going to go fence a couple bouts look forward to seeing that tonight. Thanks for sharing.

there you go Tn Mts,for some reason i couldnt get the red background shots to come out good, think i need more natural light,so i didnt include those.did you kick some butt fencing?that sounds like good entertainment.

Zaleski would be my guess as well, it looses its sheen in certain types of soil, Greg you are da man! :o

That is about as good as they get . Big old black material with great flaking. Thats just am awsome point in my opinion. The prettiest one I have ever found was a big ole black point with good flaking. Congrats again and thanks for sharing the pictures. Yeah I kicked some butt in Sabre but am feeling I will pay for it tomorrow. : ) Thanks ,Greg Rocks

Now that's a nice point! Those large Archaic side-notched points are a favorite of mine. Nice pics of the creek too, looks like a nice place to be!
