5 Hours of Pleasure and Pain

Ha its a creek hunt. They said it is going to snow here for the next 2 days so I had to go. I was doing ok nothing great got some scrapers mostly and some heart breakers thats is where the pain comes in. All found in North GA. HH, rock

That's a good hunt RockIt takes time and miles. I feel my walk real hard todayThat creek looks like one to use my suction dredge on , it would make short work of that sand and rock

Its from all over. I have found it all over that creek. Different colors textures and designs. All periods even a few stone bowl pieces in the past yr. I know not much of the wide point is there missing the tip and stem but it looks like it would of been nice. Is there enough to know a type? Found it up stream where I saw some foot prints that werent mine. They missed it, hehe

Don't know but its good material and workmanship. I bet the pottery is coming from a trash pit in the bank. It may have all collapsed into the creek though. Creeks whip around a lot in time.

There is a couple of spots where the creek is on full flow and actually hits a bank head on then makes a right angle turn. Im sure that wasnt the true direction on the creek so it was probably flowing in a different direction sometime in the past. I wouldnt be shocked at all if some of the large gravel bars at one time was the bank.

Nice hunt rock, and glad you got out. snow finally missed us last night, and temps are rising for the next few days here. I'm past the point of needing to get out!! Those shifting creeks sure keep it interesting! Like the pot leg, nice little detail.

very nice finds from the creek, Rock. Looks like you hit the jackpot on the pottery lottery....Have you gotten any more snow? Up here in Western Ky we still have alot of ice with alittle snow. Still got about an inch of ice in the trees and on bushes and fences at my house. The animals are sure getting hungry too. Got a red fox that comes to my front porch and eats out of the dog feeder.

It came down hard this morning and some more coming tonight. Ice tomorrow cause the temps wont be higher than 32.

Im off work again today sitting at home. Id rather spend my days off hunting but the ice came last night. Going to be a boring day thats for sure.
