5 silver day

[jcobb]

I brought my little boy out to Georgia for his 4th bday with his mom. Bored so I went and hit a park that was built in the 1920's

Found 2 war nickels and Merc dime in the same hole. 1944 nickels and 1918 dime

1953 dime about 10 feet away
And 1924 Merc under a old oak tree.

I don't find any silver like this back in Texas

Congrats on the coins and your son's 4th Birthday!!

Mind me asking how you are coming up with dates on the parks? Aside from the known older ones close to Atlanta I'd love to find one that's age right somewhere out on the east side

Now that's a great use of your time JCOBB. Congrats on a wonderful hunt.
I bet ya you will find good Texian silver if you look in the right places. There was alot of early oil money in your area during the first half of the 20th century as well as alot of early mexican silver that I am sure is still in the ground there. The grass is not always greener in other fields so rethink your area, get into the history sites and museums and I bet you will be amazed at what you find.
All the best.
Oh yea Happy Bday to the youngen.

Nice finds! Today I found my first silver coins in a park since 1995. I've envied all the people who find coins in parks. Love to have one that hasn't been hunted to death.
