Got a call from my wife's aunt the other day to see if I wanted a bunch of cents they got in. She said there were some steel cents in the bag and it looked like someone turned in an older collection of pennies. They didn't cash in anything else. I asked. BTW my wife's aunt is the branch manager of a local smaller bank.

Any how the $50 produced the following
851 wheat cents total. 105 of these are steel cents
5 Canadian cents oldest was a 1943
1 very worn Indian Head cent 188? cant make out the last number
1 dime
Approximately 40-50% of the memorials were pre 82

My wife helped me check the back of the coins to find the wheat's and I then ran the memorial cents through the Ryedale. I have another $25 in cents I may run over the weekend.

any rare wheats?

congratulations on your nice bag, you're one lucky person to have the ability to buy bags. I've asked 3 different banks and multiple branches among the banks about buying bags off their coin machines with no such luck.

Great job BenVA! I'm not a cent hunter but I've always liked those steelies!

I didn't really check many. There were some early ones but they were rather worn. I put all my wheats in a big jar. Maybe I will go through them one day.

Yea, it helps that I have a relative at the bank. They call me every now and then when something neat comes in. I am glad to have them looking out for me.
