Had my best year for coppers ever in 2011, mostly because of the discovery of a virgin mill site
late in the year that produced 33 coppers for my hunting buddy and me over a four day period.
In past years I've found spanish silver for every 7 or 8 coppers, but this year I only found one
half reale, which I gave to the kids that lived in the home where the silver was found.
Highlights of the year were finding a nice Vermontensium landscape state copper, a decent NJ
copper, several Connecticut coppers, and a Woods Hibernia in good shape.
In 2012 I'd be happy to have my copper count come down a bit if I could manage to find some
Revolutionary War bits and pieces, and an early American silver.
Hope you all find what your'e looking for in 2012!

Dwayne

nice pile of oldies! congrats on a great year in coppers!.....I'm jealous of the history you have in your area...good luck in 2012!

Great finds, wish I could be in an old area!

I hear ya. I could go all year and not dig any coppers and be happy as long as I could get one early american silver or rev. war button.

That mill site was AWESOME.

wow, what a killer pic! good season!

Great year Dwayne. I enjoyed your posts from the Mill site.

Really nice pile of coppers Dwayne. The only coppers I find come from the beach, and there almost always junk.
