500 year old, hammered British coin.

Short and sweet, my mind is going a thousand miles a minute..,, pulled this from a spot we’ve dug two Spanish silvers.... but thinking it was Spanish, i could not identify it. I googled “posvi coin”, and these early, hammered, British coins appeared. “Groat?!”... I DO NOT KNOW... all you early British numismatics please jump in. Not going to flatten it out, can’t see a date as of yet.. Thank you... Ddf.

Dang... I've heard of plenty of Ohioans digging Spanish silvers but I can only recall one other time where old British coins were found here. Pretty special what you've got eh!

Its definitely a hammered English silver. The side folded in would tell which monarch you have. Cant tell from the pic but definitely late 16th to mid 17th century

The mintmark looks like a Rose which would make it Henry VII 1504-09. But we need to see the letters better on the inside folded bit:

All I can see is [] DI GRA REX [] - I need to see what's before the DI?

What diameter is it?

Cru, I cannot (safely) see what is after DI GRA REX... at least for now. But the exact diameter was hard to zero in on, but is 19.75-19.85 mm. Thanks very much for the assistance. Ddf.
