Went on 1 weeks annual detecting trip with my buddy to the Med.Normaly go diving and work shallower water but weather initially was bad and the visibility was poor also fresh sand pushed up the beach .We decided to go beach hopping and probe to find the best areas. This proved worthwhile.I found my heaviest gold item a 22k mens curb chain. It is 26 inches long .It was a bang of a signal and took 1 scoop to dig .The water level was at my chest at that point. The area surrounding this beach is well known for millionaires and this was a lucky chance find.Worse for my buddy he was about 1 metre from me when I dug it as we only just got into the water and were passing each other. Both machines were chattering at that point.
I worked another beach and worked a gully for 3 days .I initially found the smaller signet 18k at 3.6 gram and knew there were more .I found the heavy gold ring 18.6 gram on last day of trip in the same gully .I was in the water up to my chest .Also found some silver rings and stainless steel .240 euros found .Free beer at night! Lots of junk found and 8 pairs of shades.
One hell of a trip .My best yet.

Great chain! What a great feeling to see all that gold come up! Good for you. Nice digs on the rings too!
