Thanks Moff! I found they vary in value by mintmark and # minted. This one has the Hamburg “J“ Mintmark with 11.4M minted. On numista its value in VF estimates to $3.37, but this error should jump it. As far i’ve surfed online now I have not found any exact values on deutsche mark coins having doubling.

Enamel: do a blow up of the date area and lettering, I definitely think & see it as a double date error coin.

I'm not seeing any notching on the corners of any of the letters which puts me in the same camp as Enamel & PEA.

You cant. The seller was very nice and felt generous. He didn't want to deal with selling a big bowl of mixed coins only being picked through little by little for 25c for a long time.
