From a flea market this morning for 10c

Very cool find

Fantastic doubling on the date and strong doubling on the lettering as well.

Curious if you found any information on rarity?

Thanks Moff! I found they vary in value by mintmark and # minted. This one has the Hamburg “J“ Mintmark with 11.4M minted. On numista its value in VF estimates to $3.37, but this error should jump it. As far i’ve surfed online now I have not found any exact values on deutsche mark coins having doubling.

Sorry, but all I'm seeing is md.

Enamel: do a blow up of the date area and lettering, I definitely think & see it as a double date error coin.

if it's on both sides.... that makes Enamel right

[PetesPockets55]

I'm not seeing any notching on the corners of any of the letters which puts me in the same camp as Enamel & PEA.

Flat and shelflike. Cuts into the design. The doctor is in!

For .10 cents, how can you beat it?!

Very interesting how someone can do that, though it looked very close. Thanks

You cant. The seller was very nice and felt generous. He didn't want to deal with selling a big bowl of mixed coins only being picked through little by little for 25c for a long time.
