It actually got a little chilly in S.F. today. The wind was blowing of the pacific ocean which made it nice and cool! So I feel for all you guys and gals boiling in the midwest and east coast.

Hit one of the many parks here in San Francisco and managed 5 wheat pennies and a 1944-S mercury dime. The merc dime was right on top near a gopher mound, hidden by a leaf. I mover the leaf and picked it right up off the top of the ground! Also dug up this weird Judas Priest pin. Any time you can pull out at least one silver out of the ground coin you've had a good day!

good hunt!! MR TUFF

Nice Silver. I hope to go detect out there some day.

Looks like a gopher might've chewed a bit on that Merc, LOL... you're absolutely correct - ANY silver is good silver!

(And I've found probably my best silver coin on top of the ground at a demo site... I ALWAYS keep my eyes open when I'm out...)

Nice!

Nice find! Please send some of that cool air the me, I'm in the arm pit of the country 'west Tennessee' and it is brutal here!

i would like a cool day for a change were i live, the other day it went to around 37°C with the humidity it felt like 47-50°C or ( 118-120°F ) the ground is dry and you can't make a plug without ruining it.
