Got tired of spending gas money to get to hunting sites.

I went to the swimming pool down the road from my house.

I have recovered thousands up on thousands of targets out
of this site, and it is still trash infested. :( How ever, the targets
are getting deeper though. I’ve quit using my Compadre and
started using my Euro Sabre on it. The ground changes in a
few feet because of all the fill and digging that has gone on
here over the years. There are mineralized rocks all over the
place. There are shallow buried cables every where. Some
are in service and some are not active. They just left them
there. It’s mostly clay. It’s hard when it’s dry and sticky when
wet.

In other words, It’s a bugger bear and always wears me out.

In November of 2007 I found a 14k gold 1/5th ct pair shaped
diamond ring there.

In January of 2008 I found a man’s 14k gold wedding band
there. It was right next to a steel reinforced concrete slab and
under a chain link fence.

In April of 2008 I found a 1947 Arkansas State Teachers
College 12k gold ring there. Can not find the owner. It was
right next to a steel reinforced concrete slab and under a chain
link fence. It was under a penny, a pull tab and two pieces of
rusty nails. It was about 6” deep.

Well, today was wearing me out big time. I dug a piece of
1 ¼” copper pipe. It was more than a foot in that awful ground.
It was getting real hot.

I got a signal just like a pull tap at the corner of that fence in
the first photo. It sounded deep, like most of them now. I am
determined to dig them here.

About seven inches down, out comes this 14k gold, man’s
wedding band. ;D

I could not believe it. :o

This is my twelfth gold ring in 2008.

That was my goal for the WHOLE YEAR. :tongue3:

I have four more months to try and smash my coal.

This day is call'd the feast of Tabdog.
He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam'd,
And rouse him at the name of Tabdog.
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say 'To-morrow is Tabdog.'
Then will he open his finds box and show his gold,
And say 'These treasures I had on Tabdog's day.'
Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember, with advantages,
What feats he did that day. Then shall our names,
Familiar in his mouth as household words-
Juju, CRUSADER and jeff of pa,
ModernMiner and Captn_SE, Dman and Doug UK -
Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red.
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Tabdog shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that swings his detector with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That dug with us upon Tabdog's day.

Happy Tabdog day, LOL! You have done well and I'm sure you have earned the gold, sweet finds. HH, Mike

Thanks fellers,

Man Time 4 me, that was a rousing proclamation.

I am speachless. That doesn't happen often, if ever. lol

Thanks again for the responses,

Tabdog

Most of the jewelry I've found was around the pool.

Every where except where the buildings are. It slpoes off

on the other side.

I've found gold in the tot lot and all kinds of stuff all over
this park

It has been hunted extensively over the years, with all kinds
of metal detectors.

But they aren't the TABDOG.

That's why It's My Day,

Tabdog

WTG TABDOG. Sounds like you definetly earned your prize. I could't imagine digging clay that is wet or dry. We have clay here too but I dig 12 miles away where it is much different. ;D

from the previous pictures, it can't be all that surprising ::)

Reason to celebrate is here! I must retreat to the basement and draw a cold gold beverage from the keg!

Excellent dig, and good persistence to pull them all out. I have yet to find a gold mens wedding band(did get a nice tungsten carbide ring once), but, i hope the day for one is soon. Congrats on all the nice rings this year, and here is to many more for you!

Wow, I have a goal of 1 solid gold this year. Have not met that goal yet. ::) Thanks for the post. Gives me some ideas....
