8 Hour CW Hunt!

My buddy and I started at 9 this morning and hunted thru rain showers for about 30 minutes then it stopped so we kept going till 5:10 with no breaks!
Getting ready for 3 day DIV hunt in Nov. Anyway we found a bunch of bullets and a couple buttons, I found a dropped Burnside with part of the brass still on it, a flat button and a strange looking button, can anyone ID it? I also found some type of double hook thing, anyone know what that is?
My buddy found a nice Eagle "C" button and the bullets pictured on the tailgate. We were both beat at the end of this hunt.

Wow, ringed tailed sharps, three ringers, gardeners, and are they enfields i see at the bottom right? Congrats. I dug half of your double hook iron piece the other day. I guess its CW era. Not sure about the button. Good luck at the DIV!!

The 1 on the bottom right is Enfield, the 1 beside it is a beat up Gardner.

I wish I could find a Confederate camp. This was actually from part of a battle area.

Its similar to what we have been finding. We were told there were a bunch of confederate camps all over this property we're hunting...but we do find some Union stuff as well mixed in. Ringtail sharps is prob my favorite bullet.

Hey Mark - great finds. I was out all day yesterday myself - 8:15 am until 6:30 pm. Man, was I beat last night. I had a decent day too, I'll post a video in a week or two, gotta go out of town next week. Again, great finds and congratulations! Hope you knock 'em out at DIV.
