8 Silvers!! 46 For 46!!

Hello, My Good Friends!!

I felt tempted to go back to the "silver park" this week, but kept to my word that I wouldn't be going back for a while. I decided to go to a park I hunted quite a bit last year. It's a great old coin park that millions of picnic'ers have been to since the turn of the century. The only problem is that almost every inch has been detected, but since there is so much trash in the ground, it is hard to get all of the coins. I decided to try a real trashy, hard-packed dirt area in the park. I met Mike(Ratman) there today, hoping to find just a couple of missed silver coins. I was totally surprised today to find 6 silver dimes(and only 7 wheats) in that hard-packed dirt. : The Pro Coil is great at being able to pick through heavy trash to find the deeper high conductors. I thought I would have to put my 8" coil on, but I decided to trust the abilities of my Pro Coil. It didn't let me down. In fact, it hasn't let me down in 46 consecutive turf hunts since June.

This park is notorious for highly oxidized silver coins. Every one of my dimes came out of the ground stark white. I took a pic of them before I cleaned them, along with the "after" electrolysis photo. The shiny, un-oxidized Rosie in the middle of the pic was found at a different park, and so was the sterling piece of bracelet, chopped by a lawnmower. I also found what looks to be an anti-aircraft bullet, a strange find at the park today.

So, all in all, it was a great day that greatly surpassed my expectations. I honestly didn't think I was going to ever have a 6 silver day at this park again. I was wrong.

Nice Finds Dan I like to hunt in the trash also lots of good stuff still there . AS far as the 8" coil I have not used mine since I got the pro coil.Congrats HH

Dan........that is one hell of a streak! I remember when this was in the 20's......then 30's. I've seen some ongoing posts here like the iceburg and shark pit stuff, and this one here is just as exciting. I'll tell ya Dan, the Explorer spoils us into wearing these "Without a skunk" badges. Tom is my witness..........in over a year that I've had my Explorer........on each and every full day hunt.........it has never let me go home without silver. I've played around perhaps three times on a one or two hour hunt and went home empty........but never on a true hunt. Good job Dan and Congrats. Keep this streak going!

Nice bunch of finds Capt. Your bullet is a 50 cal ball round. I loaded millions of them in the 60"s when I worked for the Army.

That pro coil is One Bad @zz coil for sure , I wouldnt trade mine for anything , Im hunting areas I hunted w/standard coil and its like hunting in virgin territory all over again .
