Went on a short hunt Sunday and came out with 8 wheat pennies the oldest being minted in 1929, my first Fish Coin, a 1941 nickel, a brass Forget Me Not charm and a few marbles. It rained or drizzled the whole time that I was there, the finds are not to great either but I still had fun and my wheat count went up by 8.

What kind of coin is the fish coin???
It's a 1984 Republika NG Pilipinas coins. I'll take a guess and say it's from the Philippines.

The ground was soft that day due to the wet conditions but when it's dry it's almost as hard as rocks. Thanks.

Nice finds.....what's the melted "thing"

Thanks.
If you take a close look at photo number 7 you might see what resembles the Monticello Building on the reverse of the US Nickel. That all I can figure out. Do you see it too?

Now that you mention it I can see that shape.....weird, I've never seen a nickel melted like that

Looks like a good hunt to me, Anthony! 8) Love the marbles!

Nana :)

you did great

That Philippino coin is a cool find! I just sold an error one of those! Not a metal detecting find. The one I had was a 1986 that was stuck off-center by pattern dies from 1967! This was a "helped" error coin ~ made inside the mint with original dies by a mint employee (midnight shananagins!). I paid $40 for it & sold it for $140. I sure like them error coins!
