9-8-08 finds

Today was a beautiful day! Conditions could not have been better. Warm and sunny and no waves to speak of, except from a passing boat or jet ski. I worked shoulder deep water with little problem. It hadn't been like this in quite a while, so I was optimistic. The finds just weren't coming up for me. On my way in, I talked to a couple of hunters. Both guys had pulled 2 rings a piece, but that was about it.

Fake diamond stud found on the way to the car.


The stud earring had me going for a split second.

I may be taking a break from the beach, I haven't decided yet.

Not as busy as I would've liked to of been. I have been hunting in all metal in the water and wet sand for some time now. This time, I switched to discriminate mode and didn't dig any hot rocks and not as many bobbie pins. It's funny, before I was getting frustrated digging all kinds of junk. Now, I'm getting frustrated because of lack of targets.

Thanks SC_hunter. The shades were found in shoulder deep water. They are in perfect condition. My wife has already confiscated them. She was hoping for jewelry, but my hunting season has been lacking in that area to say the least. So she'll have to settle for shades.

Not a bad hunt, good selection of targets by the look of it, and, better than a lot of my hunts for variety . It is dissapointing to get only coins and trash on a hunt. That earring in the first picture is pretty cool looking, i have yet to find a junk earring of that type yet.

I feel you on the time off thing. But you never know when the right day will come, and you hit the motherload!

Yeah, I thought the earring was pretty cool also. I hear ya on the motherload thing, that's why I keep coming back!
