Himmel's Church Covered Bridge (originally built in 1874) crosses over the Schwaben Creek
























The large picnic grove is part of Himmel's Church. The log church built in 1774; the stone church built 1817; the frame church built in 1903 (destroyed by a fire in 1959); the present brick church built in 1960.






Place gave up some Very nice Oldies the first few Hunts.
Now it's hard even getting Clad and trash.

yes ! It's the reason I do go back occasionally .
Right Weather, ground conditions, Mental attitude on how I swing my detector.
and Luck on swinging over the right spot the right direction May give me a few

The key to it all is if you can honestly say, that you didn't, not even one time, wave over a clutter of signals and just mentally tune out for a second to get into an "easier" signal. Listen to EVERY signal! EVEN, if you don't dig all of them! LISTEN to them! The machine is always talking!

Yes there are always Good signals on one Swing that completely disappear on the Back swing.
and never come Back, no matter how long you circle and try. Or will they next time ya just never know

No, we don't. But, what I was meaning was the way we all sort of get tired and just tune out signals just cuz of overload. Too many, too close together. Too much junk, etc. So, we sort of skip the bundle and move off looking for something easier. Heck, I've gotten so tired some times that on the way back to the car I'd get a good signal and my initial reaction is of annoyance! That I *HAVE* to get down and dig one more time! LOL

Looks like you're narrowing it down to the goodies. By your pictures, it looks like the only thing missing is a sack of Fritos and a cold Crème Soda and a rest under that tree over there. Just for giggles get Arthur to dowse your aerials! Might be an interesting lesson for all of us!

Was your detector turned on? ... just kidding of course. (I must admit I've marched off 1 or 2 times,merrily swinging my detector in the off position until I checked my display ). Everything about that site, and those photos, would lead me to believe there are great coins and relics to be found. Hope you return there and have better luck!

It's always a challenge to try to squeeze a few more keepers out of these well hunted sites, but you know there just has to be a gold coin or seated under a tree root or deep down on that site somewhere!
