I got my 100th silver coin of 2014 today. Fittingly it was the most common of all silver coins, a 1964-D Roosevelt Dime.

The breakdown of my first 100 silver coins of the year:

  • 22 - war nickels
  • 45 - Roosevelt Dimes
  • 1 - Mercury Dime
  • 2 - Canadian silver dimes
  • 24 - 40% Kennedy Halves
  • 4 - 90% Kennedy halves
  • 2 - Franklin halves

I've opened 27 boxes of nickels, 42 boxes of dimes, and 39.5 boxes of halves.

Well, back at it. See you when I get to 200.

Congrats on finding your 100th silver coin of the year. You've found a nice assortment of silver. Im at 79 so far this year myself: 70 silver halves, 8 war nickels & 1 silver Ike.

Good luck on the next hundred!

H$H!

Well done! I like the idea of tracking total silver coins. I'm at 97 myself, 7 war nickels, 2 washington quarters, a commemorative silver, a walker, a franklin, 4 '64 Kennedy's and 81 40%ers. I've gone through $12,800 in halves, $0.50 in quarters and $410 in nickels.

You're doing great! I think Ive found about 14 silver dimes, and a big ball of lint. And a rock.
