a 1880 morgan.. where would mint mark be and can anyone guess value

i got this coin from a friend that works at the local gas station. someone brought it in for a pack of cigs.
where do i look for a mint mark?
can anyone estimate the value of this nice dollar

Above the "D" and "O" of 'Dollar' is the mint mark, "O" (New Orleans). The details of the coin, itself, are very sharp; unfortunately, so too are the scratch marks that will adversely affect the coin's value.
