a 1880 morgan.. where would mint mark be and can anyone guess value

Above the "D" and "O" of 'Dollar' is the mint mark, "O" (New Orleans). The details of the coin, itself, are very sharp; unfortunately, so too are the scratch marks that will adversely affect the coin's value.

1880 --"o" --new orleans mint -- in overall nice shape --EXCEPT for those horrible scratches which will drop its value greatly --as stated above already . pity its scratched.

Worth $13.70 in silver melt value at $17.71 -todays spot price.
You could probably sell it for $18.

The price of $18 is spot on (forgive the pun). The obverse looks like it has been whizzed in the past.
