Looking for musket balls today and instead I find a 29 coin spill! It's only clad pennies and dimes, but it was still a lot of fun! There were 25 pennies and 4 dimes. Only one wheatie, a 1953. The most recent coin is 2001, so this may be an older spill.

My previous record was a paltry 7 coin spill. That was 3 quarters and 4 pennies. Going to be hard to top this one!

Here's a picture of the coins: 29 coin spill.webp

Great finds! Thanks for sharing...

Nice, now you have to break 29.

You gotta love them coin spills. Congrats.

Yup, that's going to be a tough one! Hard to imagine someone losing 29 coins, but I guess someone did. Now if I can only find someone who lost 30 in one shot...

Thanks! Not a big deal to most, but I still enjoy finding ANY coin spill.

Sweet spill !! Just last week, hunting a soccer field close to home, I ran across a 9 - dime spill. all clad, all on TOP of the ground, I didn't even have to dig! That same field (very big-over ten soccer fields together), I had a 4 quarter spill about 3" down, and they were all together, and the two quarters in the middle came out like new...same field..broke that record with an 8 quarter spill-same hole and probably 5-6 of them were touching each other...kinda makes you wonder how/why these coins were lost in that manner...especially 29 coins !! Great find, thanks for sharing...ddf

An eight quarter spill is two bucks in one shot! That's a great spill to find! My 29 coin spill was halfway up a hill that kids use for sledding in the winter. Someone probably wiped out and lost his pocketful of change in the crash!

Probably some body's piggy bank, that's a lot of coins for a pocket!
Congrats!

Nice...not sure if this would count as a pocket spill but I once found a roll of dimes. The paper was long gone but 50 dimes in one hole. Only one was a silver rosie but better then none.

Happy hunting

bet it sounded off pretty good, always love those holes that keep giving.

the other day I dug a lost penny roll someone lost about 2" down. all of them were sinkin you know whats.

Nice finds! Any pocket spill is fun to find. I found a small one in the middle of a school yard last week. Just a couple dimes and nickles, but by how dark they were--they had been there for a while.
