Found a coin spill today.

My plan for today was to follow & detect a old stone wall. After a couple hours the only things I found was a rifle casing, head stamps and a dog collar. So I decided to start working my way back. Right before I was going to pack it up I got a good repeatable signal. It turn out to be a coin spill of 4 coins. In the spill was my first V-nickel I ever found.

Awesome hunt. Stone walls are my favorite. Don't forget to look for breaks in the wall. Might be a cellar hole nearby.

Congrats on the first V. It's always nice to get a nickel instead of a pulltab. The old Merc dimes are nice too. Too bad nickels really suffer in the ground for the most part.
