I couldn't get Jeff of PA off the couch today so I spent three hours alone at a ballfield that has given up silver in the past. I had 7 wheat cents today but could only get dates on three of them, 1922, 1924 and 1940. The other four were toasted.
I did get lucky enough to hit three silver dimes today so my day was great!!! The Mercs are 1935 and 1942 and the Rosie is 1948, all were dug in the 6" deep range. I was hunting with the F75 LTD running BP, 4 disc and 80 sensitivity and these dimes screamed at me!!

Thanks for lookin'!

Happy Hunting all!

Dave

:icon_thumright: Good for you Dave :icon_thumright:

Would have Liked to have been there,
But would have Regretted it by Tomorrow Morning :(
Congrats !

Finding silver is so cool and I do love seeing the pictures! Speaking of the pictures, the coins looks very scratched, how did you clean them? or, were they already like that?

Thanks guys!

Roland, the coins were cleaned with water and a toothbrush so all the scratches you see are part of the original "beauty" of the coin....LOL!
I assume based on wear these coins were carried for many years before being dropped at this location so scratching is unavoidable. Until I dig a real "rare" coin I won't even notice the condition because they all get slabbed and booked right now, I'm building a "silver" book to pass down to my granddaughter....LOL!

Good job Dave. I'll let you adopt me as your grandson for a share of the silver book. :icon_sunny:

A silver a day keeps the blues away ! You are good for 2 more days ! MaineRelic

Thanks guys!!

Jim and Dennis I can't believe silver coins would drive you try and weasel them from my Granddaughter.....LOL!!! And NO, I have enough children so adoption is out of the question!!!

Thanks again!

Dave

Yep! That would definitely be enough silver to keep me off the Cymbalta for a while. ;D

yep I put the priz IV with iron discrimination and wait for those little screamers this year .funny that all have come from six inch + reads . Total of 36 Al but ten have been mercs . I get the same signiture when I pass over one .Sounds like you learned the same thing i did this year .Went from 9 total silvers last year to current count of 36 this year best is a 1903 barber quarter . Way to go .

good hunt :icon_thumright: I like silver of all types ;D MR TUFF

You just gave me an idea as far as the silver book goes. That is what i'm going to do for my kid. Thanks Tex
