This is a hammer stone made from raw Novaculite that came from a Native American quarry site that we mined stone out of for years. It was nothing to pick up 10-15 of them a day. Nice , pretty material ... you have any points made from that ? A friend of mine has some points found here in Maryland and it looks very similar the area near your thumb in 2nd pic. Not sure if that material makes it down to Maryland or not
 

It does look very comfortable to hold and to use! :icon_thumright:
 

Does it show any signs that flakes were chipped of to make points? I have a few stones that are a little larger than this one that shows flakes were removed for use.
