Never found a button like this before. It's the size of a penny but thin. I thought it might be the face of a 2 piece but the remains of a shank are on the back. It looks like a bird sitting in foliage. Have found an IHP, Buffalo's and Wheaties in the area.
Any thoughts or dating?

Cool relic, for some reason it brings to mind the legend of the Phoenix
