Hey, zoysters, I was doing a little bit of research this afternoon on my new laptop, when I suddenly heard the phone ring. It was Paco and he enthusiastically said, "Hey, dude, Steppe said it would be OK if we did some relic hunting on his farm property!" KirkPA (Doyboy) and I took up the opportunity to spend the rest of the evening with our good detecting bud, Paco.

Well, we arrived at the site and, within the first five minutes of swinging my trusty Pro XL, I received a nice button with a shank. Paco glanced over at me and said, "Dude!" Then, Paco and I detected for another twenty minutes without anything to show for. I, being the semi-pro, decided to change my tactic by asking Paco, "Hey, bud, where did you find that Classic Head half cent a few months back?" Paco stated, "Right in that corner, man!" So, I ventured my way over to that area and was soon greeted with a nice mid-range tone that read at "Dime" on my analog meter. I instantly called for Paco and he swung his White's M6 over the hole and stated, "You might have another copper!"

Eventually, I dug down to the 6-inch depth, and noticed a medium-sized disc next to the hole. I instantly picked it up and rubbed the encrusted dirt off, and was introduced to a Classic Head half cent (the second one out of the same corner). After quickly taking off my headphones, I yelled,"Paco!" and performed a 360-degree spin in the air. Paco spastically ran over and congratulated me with many handshakes.

I later found three buttons, two musketballs, and a square nail. Paco found 6 buttons with shanks and two musketballs. Doyboy found a dateless Buffalo nickel at the other end of the field, which was the site of a one-room schoolhouse.

This field has yielded 25 buttons, two Classic Head half cents, and a Draped Bust cent.

Zoy, Zeus. :P We are all winners on this forum. I love every one of these detecting dudes. Let's keep finding
Colonials, Zeus. Remember, "I go alllllll year." hehehe

Thanks Kirk, for considering me for the Top 40. It's been awhile since I posted anything. I have been in the water a little bit. Only found two gold rings and one Silver. Things are kinda slow with all the hot weather. But I usually don't land hunt in the summer, too darn hot and the ground is like concrete. Besides, most of my sites are in crops right now, so i'll have to wait for fall to hunt them again.

But if I find some sidewalks that they are tearing up, lookout, I'll have my trusty ACE at work.

Congrats on all your finds. They look really great, someday I'll find a Copper!

It is nice to hear from you, Ring! I was wondering where you have been. Oh, and the list thing was all for fun. Even though I consider you one of the top guys on this forum, I forgot to add you to my top 10 :D....your research is impeccable. I will look forward to your future posts. You never let us down, dude.

Thanks for the compliment on the Colonial coppers. They were a treat to find.

Now, get out there and find some more Seated quarters at that church site. :)
